On November 6, employees of the bailiff service, police, and a special forces unit arrived at building No. 40 on Piskunova Street. Medical professionals, psychologists, and rescuers were also on duty during the operation.

Operation progress and resident eviction

During the event, bailiffs completed the eviction from six apartments. The situation was complicated by some residents refusing to let law enforcement in and attempting to obstruct their actions. In particular, an elderly woman barricaded herself in a room and went out onto the balcony, forcing rescuers to use a ladder. After the door was forced open, the pensioner required medical assistance.

Eviction results

6apartments evicted
1owner left voluntarily
5doors had to be forced open
3apartments were empty

After the inventory of property was conducted, the doors of the vacated apartments were sealed and welded shut.

Reasons for the building's demolition

Construction of the 11-story building began in 2008 by the MetRosso company without the necessary permits. Despite a settlement agreement with the Irkutsk Mayor's Office in 2013, which allowed buyers to register their real estate rights, authorities later challenged the legality of the construction.
