Former Bishkek City Council deputy Zhanybek Asanbekov has said there is a discrepancy between the designated purpose and the actual use of a land plot leased by the father of the capital's deputy mayor Ramiz Aliyev. According to Asanbekov's data, the 240-square-meter plot was leased for landscaping and improvement purposes.
Designated purpose of the plot and its current use
Asanbekov noted that the land was leased in August 2023, when Ramiz Aliyev headed the Tazalyk municipal enterprise. However, according to the former deputy, instead of the planned landscaping, the site now holds a parking lot used by a supermarket.
Questions for officials and the municipality
In the context of his statement, Zhanybek Asanbekov recalled the deputy mayor's recent public remarks, when he promised to "get down on his knees" if it turned out that he or his relatives had received municipal land. The former deputy also raised questions about the size of the rent and whether the deputy mayor knew about this land and whether the municipality had conducted a check on the use of the plot.
Demand for explanations
In this connection, the former deputy urged Ramiz Aliyev to provide official explanations on the current situation. It is worth noting that Jogorku Kenesh deputy Elvira Surabaldieva had previously raised the issue of municipal property and the deputy mayor's possible ties to supermarkets. Ramiz Aliyev has said that his family has one store owned by his father and assured that law enforcement agencies are checking the documents.
