During a meeting with residents of Kant and Issyk-Ata district on November 7, former prosecution employee Dilyarom Mambetova stated that she was unjustifiably accused in the case of Kumurbek Abdyrov, who is suspected of a series of murders and rapes. Mambetova claims her surname was included in the case files due to a court secretary's error.

Circumstances of detention and charges

According to Mambetova, she was detained in November 2025 and spent about six months in custody. The woman emphasized that during this entire time, not a single investigative action involving her had been conducted. She also reported that she attempted to prove her innocence, including undergoing a polygraph test, but her arguments were ignored.

3initial counts of the indictment
6months in custody

Initially, the woman was charged under three articles, but they were later reclassified as abuse of official powers. Mambetova noted that this is already her fifth appeal to the head of state.

I was not involved in this case. I provided evidence of my innocence, but I was not even heard. This is already my fifth appeal to you
Dilyarom Mambetova

President's reaction

Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov listened to the appeal and clarified the details of the Abdyrov case. The head of state reminded that the man had previously been convicted but was released a few years later, after which he was again detained on suspicion of murdering a girl in Barskoon.
