The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a National Program for the Greening of Cities and Settlements for the period 2027–2031. The document is intended to improve the environmental situation in the country, upgrade settlements, and minimize the negative impact of climate change.
Key provisions of the program and the responsibilities of the parties
The program plans to further develop the national campaign “Zhashyl Muras,” which should help create a favorable environment for people's life and health.

- Target indicators and monitoring and evaluation indicators
- Preliminary assessment of the necessary resources
Implementation of the program and achievement of the set targets are assigned to state bodies, presidential envoys in the regions, and local self-government bodies. These structures must report on the work done every six months.
The activities will be financed from the republican and local budgets, as well as other sources that do not contradict the law.
Background
The program is aimed at improving the environment and upgrading public spaces, which affects the interests of all residents of Kyrgyzstan, and also provides for work within the framework of the “Zhashyl Muras” campaign.
