New production sites have been commissioned at the No. 27 Colony of the Service of Penitentiary Enforcement. These additions include a welding workshop, furniture production, and a stationary concrete unit.
Expanding Vocational Opportunities for Inmates
These new facilities were established through an agreement with the state enterprise "Kelechek" and with the support of private entrepreneurs. The overall goal of this initiative is to broaden the operational capabilities of the institution, create new job positions, and ensure vocational engagement for the incarcerated population.
Current Production Scope
Currently, the No. 27 facility operates several production areas. These include a bakery, three welding workshops, three sewing workshops, a furniture workshop, and a concrete plant.
During the opening ceremony, the Chairman of the Service of Penitentiary Enforcement, Chingiz Kojoshev, congratulated the workforce on the launch of the new production sites. He noted that developing production helps engage inmates in labor, allows them to develop professional skills, and prepares them for independent life in the future.
