Kyrgyzstan's capital is discussing the possibility of building an underground pedestrian crossing near City Hospital No. 4. The Bishkek mayor's office press service reported the initiative.

Initiative arose after residents' requests

Mayor Aibek Junushaliev inspected the site on A. Masaliev Street (formerly Chortekova), located between A. Tokombaev Street and the grounds of City Hospital No. 4. During the visit, local residents asked the city head to organize an underground crossing.

In this connection, Mayor Junushaliev instructed that the construction issue be reviewed taking into account the actual pedestrian flow in the area.

Project status

At present, the Bishkek mayor's office has not specified either the exact location of the proposed crossing or the timeline for its possible construction.
