Cholpon-Ata marks 50th anniversary with major road and infrastructure upgrade

As part of preparations for the anniversary, Cholpon-Ata is being actively transformed, with attention given to developing both its tourism potential and its transport accessibility. The upgrade has covered both central streets and the creation of new routes for year-round tourism.

Upgrading transport and tourism infrastructure

Road repairs and sidewalk improvements are under way in the town. Nearly four kilometers of roadway have been repaired on the central street, and sidewalks and lighting have been installed.

• Construction of a bypass road that will have four lanes and a length of nearly 16 kilometers is aimed at relieving the town of transit traffic.
• Development of cycling routes and preparation of projects to ensure year-round tourism.
