The Ministry of Construction reported that the problem of construction delays and the growing number of citizen complaints about waiting for apartments was the subject of discussion. During the meeting, held under the chairmanship of Nurdan Oruntaev, the cases of 31 construction companies that failed to fulfill their obligations on time were reviewed.

Tighter control and restrictions for developers

The construction minister instructed the relevant departments not to grant permission to start new construction work to companies that do not fulfill their obligations. In addition, the inspection staff was tasked with tightening control over projects that have not yet been completed.

Enforcement measures and requirements for developers

Nurdan Oruntaev emphasized that the priority task for construction companies is to fulfill their obligations to citizens and hand over apartments within the established deadlines. According to the ministry, materials on some companies may be referred to law enforcement agencies to assess their activities.

Previous restrictions

Recall that earlier, on the minister's instructions, a restriction was introduced on the sale of residential and non-residential premises, as well as on concluding shared-equity participation agreements, until the "zero cycle" of construction is completed. Advertising of projects is also prohibited.
