The heating season has officially started in Osh. As reported by the city administration, the phased supply of heat began on November 2nd for social facilities, including kindergartens, schools, and healthcare institutions. Residential buildings are scheduled to receive heat starting tonight, November 3rd, into November 4th.
Scope and Timeline of Heating Connection
The connection of residential homes will proceed in stages, with authorities anticipating that all city buildings will be connected within one to two days.
Context on Seasonal Start
Previously, the city had indicated that the heating season would commence only after the average daily air temperature remained at or below +8 degrees Celsius for five consecutive days. According to the city administration, this threshold was projected to be reached between November 8th and November 10th. However, due to complaints from residents regarding cold conditions in apartments, the mayor instructed that this waiting period would not be observed.
