As part of strengthening veterinary cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, the parties agreed on joint research into animal and fish diseases, as well as on training specialists. This was reported by Maksat Akhmedzhanov, a representative of the Kyrgyz Research Institute named after Duisheev, at the Sputnik press center.

Areas of joint work and exchange of experience

The main importance the partners attach to this cooperation is combating cross-border infections that can spread through wild animals. Since controlling the migration of such animals is difficult, a key aspect becomes the exchange of information on diseases circulating in neighboring states.

Opportunities for specialists

The memorandum provides not only for scientific work but also for the exchange of experience. Kyrgyz students and young faculty members will have the opportunity to undertake internships and participate in research at Russian scientific centers. In return, specialists from Bashkortostan will be able to come to Kyrgyzstan.

Expanding the partner network

In addition to the signed agreement, the Kyrgyz institute is already developing partnerships with other major educational institutions. In particular, it cooperates with the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University, as well as with the Moscow Veterinary Academy, the Timiryazev Academy, and universities from Kostroma and Novosibirsk. Negotiations are currently underway to expand this partnership with other Russian universities.

According to institute representatives, joint work is critically important for preventing the spread of diseases across borders.
