Last week, parliament reviewed a package of changes to tax legislation. According to Askar Sydykov, Executive Director of the International Business Council, the voting procedure for the draft took only 10 minutes.

Risks for business and reduced timelines
The International Business Council representative noted that the presented draft contains risks for entrepreneurial activity. At the same time, business was not given the opportunity to fully participate in the discussion or submit its proposals to the document.
Project adoption parameters
In addition to the speed of voting, a change in regulations was noted: the discussion period for draft laws has been reduced from 30 to 15 days. Sydykov criticized the practice where important decisions are made without considering the opinion of the business community.
