The Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Utilities of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that tests were carried out to assess the seismic stability of various facade materials in Osh.
Testing Procedures and Materials Involved
The testing took place at the State Institute of Seismic Resistant Construction and Engineering Design. During the process, samples of facade materials were mounted on a two-story vibration stand, where they were exposed to loads simulating an earthquake of 8-9 intensity.
Specialists evaluated the strength and stability of the materials, confirming their compliance with safety requirements. The testing involved facade materials from two sources: fiber cement panels manufactured by OsO
The materials tested included fiber cement panels produced by OsO "Kant TSP" and facade materials imported from abroad, which were presented by OsO "Smart Facade".
Significance for Construction Safety
These tests aim to ensure that building facades can withstand significant seismic activity, which is crucial for public safety in the region.
