According to the Leninsky district police department, the incident occurred on August 15 in the Ak-Ordo residential area. Citizen S.D. filed a complaint with the police department stating that K.U. had taken possession of her property under the pretext of unlocking mobile phones and fled.
Circumstances of the fraud and the damage
The victim was tricked out of an iPhone 14 Pro Max and an iPhone 17 Pro, as well as 15 thousand som. The total material damage caused to the victim amounted to 185 thousand som.
Actions of law enforcement agencies
As a result of investigative and operational search measures, police officers detained the suspect K.U., born in 1996. The investigative service of the Leninsky district police department opened a criminal case on this fact under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detained suspect has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Police Department.
The possible involvement of K.U. in five other similar criminal incidents is currently being established. The investigation continues.
