President Sadyr Japarov stressed that the construction of residential houses on land intended for agriculture is not permitted. The head of state urged citizens to exercise the utmost caution when acquiring land and to be sure to verify its designated purpose.
The problem of illegal construction on agricultural land
During the meeting with residents of Sokuluk district, a situation was described in which about 30 people had bought plots that later turned out to be agricultural land. As a result, in 2017, houses already built on some of these plots were demolished, leaving families with children without housing.
According to the complainant, as a result of the incident citizens lost both the land plots themselves and the funds invested in them. A representative of the State Agency for Land Resources explained that these plots belonged specifically to the category of agricultural land, and the aiyl okmotu had not issued permits for housing construction.
The head of state's position
President Sadyr Japarov emphasized that "houses cannot be built on agricultural land" and recommended that such appeals be addressed to representatives of the State Mortgage Company to consider the possibility of providing housing through mortgages, while stressing that the land must remain agricultural.
