According to the akim of the Pervomaisky district, Ulan Sarylbek uulu, a "showcase improvement" of the road on Razzakova Street in Bishkek will be carried out from Tugolbai Ata Street to Bokonbayev Street. The work will be financed by an investor who, according to the akim, "has nothing to do with developers."

What will change for district residents

The reconstruction calls for replacing the mismatched, warped and broken paving stones with asphalt. In addition, a green strip will be created on the site, where pedestrian and workout zones will be set up. A complete restoration of the old children's playground at Razzakova/Chuikova is also planned.

The akim also noted that the inspection identified 21 dried-out, crooked or infected trees, and stressed that only such trees would be removed, not all trees felled. More than 20 paulownia saplings are to be planted, along with renewing the lawn and installing an automated irrigation system and new lighting.

Changes to infrastructure

In view of a possible increase in vehicle traffic, the roadway is to be widened. The widening will not come at the expense of the greenery but will use previously existing parking areas. The akim added that investors are interested in improving the area and "simply want to improve the territory, make a showcase road, and ask for nothing in return."
